Cornus alba 'Bailhalo' (Ivory Halo) is also known as Ivory halo dogwood. Closely related to red-barked dogwoord the ivory version has green stems. Holding on to patterned green leaves which contain a pale shade of yellow also. In the months March to May yellowy-white flowers appear on the shrub. The green stems then turn to a vibrant red colour through the Winter months as it loses its flowers and leaves leaving the bare red stems. Pruning hard in March will help achieve the best coloured stems the following Winter.
