A Low Maintenance Grown-Up Family Space

The clients asked for a low maintenance garden with no lawn, plenty of privacy and space for the family to spend time together. A sensible budget allowed in-house garden designer Alex to visualise an elegant design with soft colours that bring harmony and serenity to this urban back garden.

Challenge
Time For A Tidy Up

This garden had a marked slope from right to left which needed to be levelled and flattened before the build could begin.

Some very large but tired trees needed to be removed and the fencing was in desperate need of updating. But none of these were challenges that the team had not encountered before and the project ran quite smoothly.

Solution
The Perfect Place For Chatting And Relaxing

Just look at this garden now! Two sturdy L-shaped raised beds double up as casual seating around this pretty garden terrace. A bespoke dining table will be installed in the centre of the gardening to add the final touch to this very sociable space.

The standard Magnolia trees at the end of the garden look amazing at all times of the day or night. But they really do come into their own when the sun has set and the garden lighting is switched on. All we can say is wow!
