Lifestyle Garden With Fantastic Features

Richard's client is the owner of a striking new build property in Worcestershire. After playing golf in Gleneagles and experiencing the fire pit there, he wanted to create a similar effect in his own garden. A full outdoor kitchen, sturdy timber gazebo, hot tub and a sunken patio with a fire pit were all on the wish list. Along with a little more privacy from neighbouring properties.

Challenge
Complex Project

Richard has a fantastic relationship with his client and was given a free rein to design something rather special. The challenge lay in the ground - as it does with so many newbuild properties. Developers had neglected to consider the drainage. And so before the building of this intricately detailed garden could begin, the RJC Landscapes team needed to stabilise the ground and add stone so that it would drain properly.
One very welcome challenge was the design of the steps leading down into the firepit area - it's always good to give your brain something different to do.
Sourcing brackets for the seats also created an obstacle - there was nothing suitable on the open market and so Richard had to design something and have them made bespoke.
Advice from Richard Bickler at Arbour Landscape Solutions proved invaluable during the landscaping of this garden - supplier relationships are just as important as client relationships in a project like this one.

Solution
A Showstopping Garden Design And Build

What can we say about this garden? It's an absolute triumph and apparently the look on the client's face when he saw it finished made all of the challenges worthwhile.
We have a beautiful timber gazebo kitted out with a hand made outdoor kitchen, complete with sink, cupboard space, running water and everything a cook could need.
Heading out into the wider garden, a very stylish paved area leads to an incredible sunken patio with floating benches and a central fire pit.
This garden deserves to be on the pages of every single lifestyle magazine on sale in the UK. Gorgeous!
