Brief
High Spec Garden Makeover

This wealthy client wanted a no-compromise luxury garden where he could relax with friends and family as well as host networking events for his business.
A swimming pool and sun terrace were a must, but this client also wanted more intimate seating areas to take advantage of the borrowed views over the fabulous Hertfordshire landscape.

Challenge
Clay soil is never kind to landscapers

It was great to have a blank canvas to work with. There was very little in the way of structures to be cleared from the site. However extensive groundworks were required to carve out the swimming pool area and to turn a sloping garden into flat terraces. Hertfordshire's sticky clay soils proved challenging at times, particularly during wet weather.

Solution

This design won a silver medal in the 2019 APL awards. The clean lines and use of opulent landscaping materials create a luxurious space that is eminently versatile.
