Arbour Landscape Solutions Renews Membership Of The Association Of Professional Landscapers

The team at Arbour Landscape Solutions are over the moon with the news that they have once again been accepted as associate members of The Association Of Professional Landscapers.

MD Richard Bickler said “From the days when I was physically building gardens right up until the present, I’ve always felt an affiliation with the APL. I love the networking, the camaraderie and most importantly of all, the work that the association does to raise industry standards and to educate the public about the importance of good quality landscaping. It’s a joy and a privilege to once again be a member of this incredible organisation.”

Why Did  Arbour Landscape Solutions Join The APL?

Richard Bickler knows from first hand experience that running a garden design or landscaping business is a roller coaster of stress, joy and paperwork. From complying with CDM and building regs, managing customer relationships, recruiting staff and marketing the business, it’s crucial to have knowledgable support at every step of the way. And that’s what Phil and the team at APL do with ease and discretion.

From a supplier point of view, Arbour Landscape Solutions also aims to offer the best advice on installation methods and industry standards. Our technical knowledge is based on years experience of working with a wide range of materials, but we also refer to the guidance documents and the support offered by the APL.

Being able to display the APL logo on our website, we feel, shows that Arbour Landscape Solutions is a trustworthy organisation with a passion for promoting industry best practice.

Anna Roochove is a Business Development And Marketing Consultant working in the landscaping and urban greening industries. “I encourage all of my clients to affiliate themselves with the best of the best by joining relevant trade organisations. Whether that be a landscaper joining the APL to offer reassurance to potential clients, or a green roofer joining GRO to keep abreast of industry innovations; in my opinion, trade organisations offer fantastic support, educational opportunities, marketing advantages and valuable networking events. I’m pleased that Richard and his team have renewed their APL membership for 2024 and look forward to seeing this superb landscape supplies business go from strength to strength.”

APL Cluster Groups

To cement his relationship with the APL, Richard Bickler plans to visit cluster group meetings across the UK during 2024. He won’t be wearing his salesman’s hat though, this is more a market research exercise. Richard wants to meet up with the landscapers and garden designers to discover what the next garden design trends might be in terms of materials, colours, detailing and functionality. That way he’ll know which products he needs to source, what price points to aim for and what the industry needs from a supplier.

That being said, if anybody wants products samples taking along to a cluster group meeting in order to save P&P costs, let Richard know and he’ll be happy to oblige.
