Mixed Native Instant Hedging - a great way to support biodiversity

For a truly wildlife friendly hedge with seasonal interest you can't beat a mixed native instant hedge. Our UK grown mixed native species instant hedge contains 6 different plant types all of them native to the UK and all of them traditionally used in rural hedging.

Each species offers foliage flowers and/or fruit providing sustenance and habitat for birds and beneficial insects. There are also some prickly species in there to deter unwanted visitors. Most of these species are deciduous. In other words they will lose their leaves in the Winter so that you can see the intricate framework of branches that are bringing so many benefits to your outdoor space. In spring you'll have the joy of seeing buds bursting and new leaves opening. Blossoms appear in springtime and are an invaluable food source for bees. Come the Autumn you'll be able to enjoy the red, orange and purple berries and maybe some hazel nuts too if you're lucky.

A great hedge for any situation but particularly useful in rural gardens, wildlife gardens and for field boundaries. Remember too that instant hedges from Arbour Landscape Supplies do exactly what the name suggests. They are instant. Hedging is supplied in 1.2 metre lengths with roots and foliage all mature and intertwined. Once planted you will be unable to see gaps between the plants. Full installation and aftercare instructions will be sent along with your order confirmation.

Up to 65 linear metres of hedging can be delivered by artic, up to 35 linear metres by rigid lorry, up to 25 linear metres on a 7.5t lorry & up to 10m on a luton van.
